About

Built from the inside, not the outside

PayerParity was built by the people who engineered payer reimbursement from the inside — the contract models, the pricing methodologies, and the clinical editing logic that decides what a hospital gets paid. Not analysts scraping public files from the sidelines.

We spent 20 years helping payers find money. Now we find it for hospitals.

Our story

Hospital price transparency regulation created an enormous volume of publicly available rate data. Most of it sits unused — too raw, too complex, and too disconnected from the contracting conversations where it could matter most.

PayerParity exists because the most powerful comparison in a contract negotiation isn't a national benchmark. It's what the payer already pays another hospital in their own network for the same service — documented in files they're federally required to publish, priced under the same methodology.

We built the tooling to find that comparison, confirm methodology alignment, account for legitimate CMS payment differences, and deliver it as a documented negotiating position. Not a dashboard. Not a data subscription. Leverage.

That tooling comes from two decades inside payer payment operations. Our founder spent 20 years as a reimbursement architect for national health plans — building the contract models, designing the pricing methodologies, and engineering the clinical editing logic that determines what a hospital actually gets paid. We know exactly where revenue leakage hides because we built the logic that calculates it.

That work was executed inside the core platforms national plans actually run on — including TriZetto Facets, QNXT, and HealthRules Payer. The foundational experience behind PayerParity includes:

  • Comprehensive reimbursement design — Overpayment recovery and reimbursement strategy across MS-DRG, APR-DRG, OPPS/ASC, and RBRVS.
  • Unified policy and payment — At one plan, contract modeling and pricing configuration sat with the same team inside medical management, so clinical policy and payment logic were designed together rather than handed between departments.
  • Custom engineering — Building a state Medicaid clinical editing tool from scratch, and authoring 100+ custom clinical edits driving pre-pay edit strategy and CMS NCCI enforcement.
  • Correction at scale — Identifying a reimbursement reduction missed across 500+ professional agreements — quantified, corrected, and reprocessed.

Reimbursement depth alone doesn't ship a product. Our CTO spent 20+ years leading technology transformation — most recently building AI-powered planning systems at Google — and turns millions of rows of payer and hospital disclosure into a system that finds the gap automatically. Our CFO brings two decades of multi-million-dollar program delivery to how engagements are scoped, priced, and run.

PayerParity points that same discipline at the other side of the table.

Team

Founding team

PayerParity runs on three disciplines, not one: payer reimbursement engineering, production AI and data systems, and financial and operational rigor.

Sanju Chand

Sanju Chand

Co-Founder & CTO

Sanju brings 20+ years leading technology transformation, most recently as a Delivery Manager at Google building AI-powered supply chain planning for its data center operations, and now shipping production Generative AI, RAG, and MLOps systems as an independent engineer. He leads PayerParity's engineering — turning millions of rows of public payer and hospital disclosure data into a system that finds the gap automatically.

Vinay Goel

Vinay Goel

CFO

Vinay is a licensed Professional Engineer (FL, TX) with over 20 years managing complex, multi-million-dollar land development and infrastructure programs across Texas and Florida. He brings that same rigor of budgets, stakeholders, and long-horizon project delivery to PayerParity's financial and operational planning.

How we work

Evidence first

Every claim on this site traces to payer-disclosed data. We don't sell modeled optimism — we find the receipts.

Methodology-aware

Decoding which pricing methodology underlies each rate — DRG, APC, case rate, FFS — is part of the product, not an afterthought.

Built for operators

Our buyers are CFOs and contracting VPs, not data scientists. We translate transparency files into negotiating positions.
